Friday the 13th Coffee

Good Morning!
I am glad Deb's been holding down the fort, but as for the coffee thread, I think the first one up should post it!

I am not really into superstitions.  I think enough weird things happen on a daily basis that you don't need a black cat or broken mirror to mess things up.  I also believe that the lunar cycles and weather can change people's behavior.

This weekend I'm shopping with some people on Saturday.  Sunday will be spent complaining about what I bought on Saturday LOL

Have a good day!

Hello Brenda,
I do agree with you about the first person up should start the coffee thread. I am amazed that Randy did it for so long because it is hard to come up with a question. What are everyone else's thoughts on this?
I am not up early every morning or I travel for my job. While I am "under-employed" I look forward to this everyday.

Hey Deb,
Your questions were fabulous!  I just hoped it didn't turn in to a chore for you or other people felt they had to wait around for one of us to start a thread.
I say, keep posting whenever you can and when you can't someone else can pick up the slack.

Morning all,

Coffee and 32 oz of water are behind me.  Just finished some chocolate protien oatmeal with a spoon of peanutbutter.  Was craving chocolate this morning, and that definately took care of it.

Friday the 13th is just another day to me, no superstitions here.  Actually it has been a great day so far, we got bonuses in our pay check, which we were told last week would not be out until sometime in April.

Weekend plans - my son wants to go see the snake and lizard exhibit in Midland again.  He loves seeing the cobra up close.  It is his favorite snake - as long as they are in glass enclosures.  It will give me a chance to play with my new digital camera.

Hey Pam .... Have you heard about the butterfly exhibit at Dow?  I think it's at the Gardens.  I've been thinking of rounding up the neices and nephews and making them go with me, so I don't look like a doofus going alone.  I went to a butterfly exhibit when I was in Seattle a few years ago and it was so amazing.  I'd love to go again and take my camera this time.

We'll see if I get the motivation to deal with 4 rambunctious kids or not...

Yes it at Dow Gardens, we have went the past 2 years, but the butterflys landing on you freak Sean out.    I don't think you would look like a doofus going alone, there are alot of people who do that.  During the week they get bombarded by the local schools bring kids in.  Weekends are just busy with local people.  Its not a large area, so when all the kids are there is is hectic.

Lizards and snake exhibit is at the Center for the Arts next door.  They have special "feeding" time hours too if your into that kinda thing.  Not sure I want to watch the python eat its weekly meal.

If your looking for other Saturday activities, Chippewa Nature Center has Maple Syrup Saturdays.  You can wonder through the woods and watch as the collect sap from the trees and then make maple syrup.  They used to have a pancake breakfast on Saturdays too, but they are doing and expansion project, so that part of it is cancelled this year.  This goes on every Saturday through March.

Protein chai tea and coffee are both done.  Need to go fill the crystal light bottle in a minute.

QOTD -- no superstitions.  But I do have a fear of UST's  (unidentified scary things).  And a phobia about fast-moving trains.  But other than that, I'm normal.  :-)

Plans -- Was going to do an all-day scrapbooking thing tomorrow.  But changed my mind and going to enjoy the outdoor weather instead.  Maybe head to Frankenmuth for the Re Grand Opening of the Harvest Coffeehouse in their new location (I've missed them while they've been moving!!).  also planning to sleep, sleep, sleep.... which hasn't happened all week, so maybe I can get caught up over the weekend.

I'm drinking plain water this am,   have a grumpy tummy.     I think  I'm gonna go try some hot tea with just a bit of honey like gramma used to give us.
I don't have any superstition about Friday the 13th unless you count a  sister with a birthday today that is the ornery one of the family?
 Have a great day everyone!!!
