Good Morning Michigan
Happy Friday the 13th to everyone! What's brewing this fine morning with everyone? Just got a cup of decaf and black-love it.
Did you know that we will have 3 Friday the 13ths this year.  That's unusual. We've already have had two. The fear of Friday the 13th is "friggatriskaidekaphobia" How would you say that?
QOD-Do you have any superstitions? My superstition is that full moons bring out the wierdness in people. When I worked in the hospital as a nurse, we'd be a lot busier with unusual things and more patients. So, this week we've had a full moon and a Friday the 13th...
Weekend plans? DH and I are itching for spring and may go to Meiers Gardens for the butterflys
TGIF everyone!

Good Morning Deb,

Friday the 13th doesn't scare me after the string of bad luck I've had this year!  I say, bring it on!  I haven't had anything to drink yet this morning.  I am having a slow start.

QOTD:  Not sure why this particular one stuck, but the whole tipped over the salt shaker thing gets me everytime.  You remember, where you have to throw a pinch of salt over your shoulder or your destine for bad luck???  I guess its habit now.

My weekend plans are to go shopping with a bunch of gabbing geese.  Great huh?  Its okay though, I got my jar of pickled eggs right here next to me and I will start eating them soon.

If anyone lives near the Oakland Mall, they are having an adopt a butterfly program.  You can bring home a caterpiller and watch it change and then release it.  Pretty cool.  They have a whole display for the kids thats interactive.  Great Idea to get us thinking spring.

Thanks DEB for posting the coffee thread.  I think you may be the official poster now.

Since our food post the other day, I've got to try pickled eggs sometime. They sound good.
That "adopt a butterfly" sounds neat.
I love the coffee posts! It's a fun challenge. As long as I'm not traveling with work, I'd love to continue. But, anyone is welcome to post, too.
The people on this thread are great!!

What you need to do Deb is buy a gallon of Vlasic pickles from Sam's or Costco.  Save the juice when the pickles are gone.  Then use that jar to put your eggs in.  OMG!  I love them.  I have seen pickled eggs, but they are in pink colored brine.  Which you all know I love pink, to wear, not to eat.  I just like the dill flavor so much better.

The pink pickled eggs are made using beet juice from pickled beets.   I had forgotten about them, but it sounds good right now.  I used to make pickled beets and eggs a lot when late hubby was here....he loved them.

I may do that this weekend -- a good source of protein and beets are very high in some vitamins.

Fighting a head cold - first one I've had in over two years.....

Friday the 13th has always been my "lucky" day!

My brother uses the left over brine from pickled bologna.  He buys the 4 pound container, it makes a bit of a smaller batch.

Good morning!  Had some coffee on my way to work today.  Will start my water in a little bit.  I just can't seem to get enough water lately. We always see a spike in behavior around the full moon and big weather changes here at school.  We've talked about charting it before, just to see if it's more than a coincidence.

Today at school we are celebrating PI day, which is actually tomorrow - 3/14.  So we are doing many different activities relating to circles and eating PIE!  YUM!  LOL!  Fun day!

I'm not really superstitious, about most things.

Weekend plans...shopping Saturday.  Recovering Sunday.  LOL!

Enjoy the day! Tina
