Good Morning Michigan and Randy!
I hope you all voted for the American Idol from Kalamazoo Matt Giraud. I don't even try those call in votes with reality TV. But, I sure hope he wins because he is such a talent. I think that talent, sometimes, doesn't matter with those shows. It's the "package"-looks, appeal, etc.
So much for that.
What is in your cup? Decaf and black. Need to wake up after listening to the high winds all night. May you be blessed with electricity this morning.
QOD-What is the strangest thing you've ever ate? My DH and I were in Las Vegas a couple of years ago at a buffet at the MonteCarlo. A lot of people were going crazy over sea urchins, so we thought we'd give it a try. Well, can't say I like them. It tasted like a beach-sand and sal****er. At least I can say I tried them..

Morning all-
Man is it windyyyyyyyyyyyyy...ick
I dont like American Idol- that show does nothing for me. Only winner I liked was David Cook and I bought his CD before I even knew who he was....lol
Strangest thing I ate- when in Paris we ordered escargot....but when I put it in my mouth I kept picturing this yukky snail crawling up our hotel window in Italy and I immediately spit it back out!! YUK  I do like calamari...
Ok off to get ready for work..

Bye

Shannon

Coffee....been there, done that, earlier.  Just ate a banana and will start in on the water soon.

I didn't notice the winds during the night and they didn't seem too bad when I left the house this morning.  But by the time I'd traveled 50 miles East, they were much worse!  I was kinda hoping that we'd get a phone call from school this AM, telling us to stay home b/c no power or something...LOL!  I could've slept in this AM!

Weirdest thing for me is probably not that weird.  I've tried frog legs.  They were gross....very fishy tasting, to me.  I've also had escargot and loved them, but I think it was all the butter and wine sauce that they were in that made them so good.  Same with Mussels. Other than that, I'm not a very 'adventurous' eater.  I like what I like and don't stray too far from it.  Although, when I was a kid, I had squirrel at my great-grandma's house in KY.  I thought it was fried chicken.  It was pretty good.  But as an adult, I couldn't knowingly eat squirrel.  Game meat is too "gamey" for me.  Ick!

Enjoy the day.  Tina

Good Morning!
I'm at work, drinking water.  Took a Benedryl to help me sleep last night so I just barely heard some rain on the roof and then I was out like a light.

I have American Idol on the DVR and I just scan through most of it.  I haven't gotten around to last nights, and probably won't until this weekend.

As for the QOTD-I don't eat anything strange.  To me, fish is a weird food, and I don't eat that, so anything like snails, frog legs, etc. wouldn't even be considered.  So, for me, the weirdest thing I ever ate was a piece of tuna sushi last year.  My DH "double dog dared" me to eat it.  I swallowed it whole and then had to go to the bathroom to dispose of it.  Ick.  But don't tell him that, he still thinks I kept it down LOL

Have a good day!

I have a weird texture thing that keeps from trying new foods.  The froglegs were one bite...that was enough.  I've only had the escargot one and mussels maybe 3 times.  I have to be in JUST THE RIGHT mood to eat mussels.

If I'm eating, say an egg, and there is a shell in it, I will gag and throw up.  If I'm eating fish - only cod or whitefish-mild, no fish flavor, and there is a bone in it, I'll gag and throw up.  LOL!   I can't stand to be eating something soft and then come across something crunchy in it....like macaroni salad with green peppers or onions in it.  GAG ME!  Another weird one....I LOVE MUSHROOMS...as long as they are cooked Raw....gross me out.
