Hi fellow Yoopers!  I live about 30 miles west of the Soo, and west of Brimley.  I'm going downstate because I had previously gone down there before they were doing surgeries in Marquette and I wanted to go to the same place where they are familiar with me.  I had gone down for a Lap-Band 3 years ago but they found a tumor during the procedure and didn't put the band in.  Now that I am cancer free, I am going back for a sleeve.  ...in two weeks!  Yay!  I had actually called Marquette but could tell it was going to be harder starting over with a new place so went back to Grand Rapids.  (I had lived in GR for a long time too.) 

I am 1 year out.  Had my surgery in Marquette with Dr. English.  The best thing I ever did.  The hospital was great.  Treated me wonderfull. Dr. English and his staff were and are the best.  They are very caring and treat you like a friend.  No regrets, not one!

Hi,  I am from the UP and not long ago had my VSG surgery done by Dr. English. I couldn't be happier!! Any questions please don't hesitate to ask. When and what surgery are you considering?

I'm from the U.P. My appointment for my evaluation is on May 11th and I'm waiting to have my multidisciplinary day scheduled.
