I think joining a gym is a little extreme. I think not all people can join a gym and you can do workouts at home. I know that in these economic times it can be rough on some people.

I know with me being 4 years out just buying alot of fruits and veggies can be pressing on the budget.

I agree with you one the economic side.  Luckily I joined the gym in 1969 after I turned 18!  Occasionally I go just to see how it's changed.  The last time I went I worked with a personal trainer, and do I mean Work.  After the second or third session I came down with a bout of vertigo.  Now I'm afraid that the extreme exercise caused the crystals in my inner ear to break loose.  I'm really scared to exercise heavily again.  I think I'll try it again, maybe next Wednesday and see what happens.  I know I have to get back to some sort of exercise.  Walking appeals to me, but I don't think it's really enough.  I'll just have to see.  I don't suppose riding my Harley counts as exercise does it?
It is what it is.

I too agree.  It depends on your surgeon.  Mine went really fast.  I had my Consult November 13th and My surgery was scheduled for Dec 1st.  I love the staff and my surgeon rocks.  I just went today and I am 3 months out and 66 lbs.  Just follow their guidelines and things will move for you.
