Glad to hear things are going good for you!  Remember the first few mo's are a Total transition period in this journey.  And remember it is a journey, you are just at the beginning, take you time, you'll get there!
I agree totally with Brenda take monthly pic's, you'll be happy you did.  I also did monthly measurements and weigh in's, it's great to look back for encouragement!
And don't get discouraged, your wight loss will fluctuate during this process, that is totally normal, just stick with the program, you'll get there!
Good luck,
Edie

Hi Pam!  Thank You for all your help  I missed you at Mondays meeting.  I was planning on going but when I looked at the clock it was to late.  I would have missed the first half hour.

You should have come anyway.  I got caught in traffic and was 45 minutes late ... but Dr. M talked forever, so the meeting ran about 1 hour long.

Hope to see you at Jim's meeting next Monday (the 16th).  I'm going to give a short presentation on vitamins and stuff.

Darn it!  I almost had the DH out the door he likes Dr. M.  But, he hates to be late.  Oh well,
Were is Jim's held, I never figured it out?  Also, how does that one go.  Is there more talking to other people or is it like a class too?  I'd love to hear your presentation on Vitamins and stuff.  I bet it will be different than Dr. M's

The FABS Group (Flint Area Bariatric Support Group) is a peer-to-peer group.  Jim had RNY about 4 years ago and we have about 20-ish members at each meeting.  There is usually no formal presentation (I promise to make it quick).  Instead we go around the room and each person has a chance to introduce themselves and ask any questions or tell about triumphs or whatever.  It's interactive between members -- so if you are struggling with something you'll get 4 or 5 different opinions on how to handle that particular situation based on what others have experienced.

The meetings are held the 3rd Monday of the month at 5:30 (I always walk in late there too).  It's at Hurley Health and Fitness Center on Saginaw at the corner of Hemphill.  When you walk in the door, go down the hall to the right and there's a classroom just beyond the vending machines.

We'd love to have you join us!
Pam

Good for you!!!  I haven't tried cottage cheese yet, but I have had Stage 1 babyfood... I have to admit... It's pretty good considering! peaches/sweet potatoes/apple sauce.............I'm going to Krogers and buy  some of the carbmaster yogurt... sounds like a good protein choice.. Krogers SF banana popsicles are great!

Hi bander twin!  I get to eat my cottage cheese for lunch today and I'm looking forward to it as much as a kid waiting for Christmas.  I have had nothing but shakes for three weeks and I'm so ready.  If all goes well I get a half of a yogurt for dinner.
