I've finished my coffee protein and getting started on my water.

I had a problem with hair falling out when I was probably 6 months post op.  OMG - I totally clogged the drain.  It was terrible.  It stopped.  I just made sure I was getting enough protein.  I take my vitamins, biotin and omega 3 flax oil in my shake every morning.  I would hope I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning!
I just finished breakfast and am getting ready to do.............nothing.  Ahhhhh.  Too bad I had to get myself operated on to get a vacation!

I'm drinking a glass of milk, not too exciting, huh?

As for my hair, yep I lost A LOT.  The docs said that I had pattern baldness in my DNA.  The anesthesia from surgery and the shock to my body kind of "kick started" my hair loss.  It was frustrating because I was doing everything....biotin, protein, herbal shampoos, etc.  When they finally told me it was going to happen no matter what, I just dealt with it.

Have a good day y'all.

I'm getting ready to start my usual peach flavored water.  Im starting late as I got a sleep in this am.
I sure hope the storm isnt to bad.   I dont mind winter,  Im  just tired of it this year.
Q for the day.    I did lose some hair.  Not a lot though.    I did try to keep the protien levels up and maybe that helped.

Good morning all!

Already finished my morning Protein Hot Chai Tea and my Fake Latte.  I'm about to have some breakfast of yogurt and granola then will move on to my Crystal Light.

QOTD -- yes, I had some shedding at 3 months and it lasted until around 6 months .... the normal cycle.  Now it's all grown back and it's thicker and healthier than it ever was before.  Although, strangely, I also got a new patch of grey hair that simply will not take hair dye at all.  I've given up trying to cover it... just going to think of it as a fashion statement.

I KNOW!!! That stuff is so good that it's becoming addicting!  I wanted another mug of it last night before bed... but my protein was already at 130g for the day and I was out of calories.  I might need to make up a batch of the mix without the protein powder just so I can have it anytime without going crazy on my protein intake.  Need to stop at the grocery store tonight for more powdered milk!

Hey.... Mom and I did the super-chocolately-protein-shake taste testing yesterday.  Here's the winning recipe:

1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 cup milk
1.5 teaspoon coco powder
2 Tablespoons Splenda
Ice

But she actually liked the Chai Tea better than the chocolate.  So I have a feeling that's going to be her new standby.  We'll see how it goes.  I'll check up on her later in the week to see what she did.

I wondered about not adding the protien powder too, then I would have to add vanilla syrup to it.   Like I need another item on the counter in my office.  Currently my collection includes, my coffee maker (single cup pod type), 2  types of coffee, 3 tins of tea, powdered milk, sweetener, chocolate carmel protien powder and the container of protien chia.    That doesn't include the peach mango, and mixed berry protien powder in my desk drawer with about 4 boxes of the single serve crystal lite.

Well at least if I get snowed in at work, I will have enough protien to survive a week or so.  My boss called me a protien junkie the other day.  I also have beef jerky, 3 types of protien bars, dry roasted edamame, weight control oatmeal and natural jiff and whole grain crackers.   There is string cheese, 5 cartons of carbmaster yogart and fruit in the fridge.  Sorry, I plan ahead and it keeps me out of food court.

Glad you found a protien mix for your mom.

Here's the recipe on my blog.  Of all the protein drinks I've concocted in the past 15 months... THIS one is my all time favorite.  I budgeted 2 of them into today's meal plan.

Thanks for posting the recipe for the tea.  I had my surgery last Tuesday and have spent most of my time on OH in the vertical sleeve forum.  It is nice to visit the Michigan forum.  Will have to come back here daily.
