Hello!
Its cold and I have already finished my coffee a few hrs ago.  Am now onto my sf kool aid.
I have started cleaning the grout in between our tiles from the office to the kitchen...man it is hard work.  I am using a toothbrush too.  Really that is the only thing that cleans it the best... have tried other things but this works best I think.  I got some finished but am letting it dry and then go back for more.  That is hard work!!!
That is my day ina nutshell Besides making one of my hubbies fav dishes for his weekend b-day.  Waffles and bacon.  Least it is simple and we use sf syrup.  *between u and me- I HATE MAKING WAFFLES*  lol
Have a great day all and stay warm and if you are bored, come on over with your toothbrushes!
Oh for the question of the day-  It depends on how much I eat every day- days I work I need to eat or snack on something every few hours..but at home I tend not to eat...forget actually or nothing sounds good so I dont eat.  I know I know!1

Good morning all -

I just love Sunday mornings.  It's my one day a week when I set aside time to catch up on reading.  I just started a great book that I think every WLS patient should have.  It's called The Emotional First Aid Kit - A practical guide to life after bariatric surgery.  By Cynthia Alexander.  Lots of great info and advice.

Enjoyed a cup of Hot Protein Chai Tea. OMG!  This stuff is my new favorite thing.

QOTD -- I eat 3 meals and 2 or 3 snacks a day.  If I don't eat about every 3.5-4 hours I start to get shaky and weak.  They are all planned and scheduled and fit into the overall caloric guidelines I've set for myself.

My Recipe Index is packed full of yumminess!

The protein sampling got put off.  Gonna do it tomorrow.  I warned her I was about to gang up on her. LOL!

I'll let you know what she likes.

Thanks for the hot protein chai tea recipe, Pam.  I love Chai and haven't had it much since surgery.  And the naked joke was funny!

I read that book you mentioned as a pre-op.  I thought it was very insightful, and may be a good time to read it again.

Good morning!  I'm trying to stay warm.  I hate this snow.

I had a Chocolate Mint shake this am.  Day 6 on my liquid diet.

I am eating six times a day now.  I will be for at least a month.  The diabetes class I took said 6 small meals are better than 3 so, I will just have to wait and learn.

Thanks for the link to your recipe.

Good morning!

Yes - its cold here too and I'm tired of it.....

I'm drinking my Decaf with vanilla protein in it.  That's my usual drink of the morning, but today I mixed it up a bit.  After my exercise I got a glass of ice tea and put some Unjury unflavored in it - it was different.... first time I did this.  Made it milky looking, it changed the taste a little, but it was ok.  Probably not something I'll do on a regular basis.

I eat 3 times a day.  My first meal is usually 2 cups of protein coffee.  By the time I'm finished with that, its getting close to lunch time.  Then lunch, and dinner.  I sometimes snack on SF Meijers bread and butter or sweet gerkin pickles.  During the weekend, its usually 2 meals a day.... and yesterday I didn't get my protein nor water in - bad me....

Plans?  going to Menards to pick up a few things for the house then maybe to the movies.

Pam - thanks for the book title - I think its time for me to read something to help me through my slumps.

Evening all,

Busy Sunday, housework, laundry and some baking.  Made some sugar free low fat banana muffins.  Not the best, but not bad.  They need something not sure what.  Gonna get out my regular recipe and see what is different.

Q of the day - I eat 5 - 6 times.  Having low blood sugar levels now, I need to.  Sometimes a "snack" is nothing more than a glass of milk, but it keeps my levels ok.

Off tomorrow, have to take my DH to the pain clinic for his 6 week injections.  My son has the day off so we are going to be hanging out.

Randy - any good recommendations on a bike.  It will be one of my spring purchases after my new walking/running shoes.

Hi Pam , a better bike will run you over a $1000.00 . We got a Deal on  a pair of Schwinn Solutions at MC Sports . They was Marked down for Clearance got Both for $600.00 + Tax

I would say anything $300.00 - $400.00 would be a good bike to start with. But we started with a huffy that  only cost $120.00 each.  Broke down and walked a few time on the trails too. I guess you get what you pay for....lol

Hope I helped out some
