Insurance

Found out that Blue Cross (individual policy) does not cover bariatric surgery any longer.  I was told they stopped coverage in Dec 08.  Does anyone know of any insurance companies that cover surgery?  I go to school full-time and work part-time, so I have to purchase my own insurance.  Or are there any programs out there that assist people who NEED to have bariatric surgery?  At this point, I'd be willing to be a guinea pig for a new surgeon if it meant I could have the procedure done!

BC/BS PPO pays very quickly. In fact Barix Centers have instant authority to authorize. You might contact Barix for info!!
