Brenda,
First let me say that I think you have done fantastic! Second while I have lost 200 lbs since my surgery you have to consider that I was way heavier from the onset and when you look at percentages you have done better than I have. I also have to work hard to keep losing. My progress has slowed to about 2 lbs a week. I have increased my exercise routine to obtain this. I anticipate that it will slow even more. I view the WLS as a tool to help me keep my weight in check not a fix all. As everyone else I fear that I will fail, but I refuse to do so without a fight. It is a fight for each of us and we all must keep up the fight. You have done great! But if I can help in anyway let me know.

Good Morning everyone, I had my decaf. coffee this a.m. while I'm at work. Worked out this am at 5:00. Have to be to work at 7. Well Randy you know I was at the meeting last night. I find them very supportive. I feel bad that so many of you have had bad experiences at meetings. I wish you lived closer so you could attend the one In Big Rapids. We are pretty much all post op and help each other out in positive ways no matter what your situation. Have a great day! Joan

Peach flavored tea for me this morning.

I haven't found a support group in my area.  The last one I attended turned into an advertisement for the leader's new business ventures and was more social than support group.  I get my support here from my fellow Michiganders (or Michiganians if you prefer) and the lap band site.  And when I need a little controversy, I check out the R and R boards.

I am ready for spring, despite the current weather.  Actually, I'm ready for summer....the sooner, the better!

I don't know when the last time I went to a support group meeting.  Maybe summer of 07?  There really isn't a "formal" support group in my area.  A small group of us tried to meet once a month, but it has fizzled out.  I attended a "formal" support group meeting a few times, shortly after I had surgery, but that group left little to be desired.  SO....I don't go to support group meetings, either.  No saying I wouldn't, there just really isn't one available and convenient for me. So, I get LOTS of support from my OH friends.

Plans for the weekend.....pick out carpeting for the baby's room and more work on the baby's room.  That's about it.   Only 7 days til Winter Break.  YAY!

Have a good one!  Tina

Hot Click with SF peppermint for me...why didn't I try this before?

Last support group I went to was fall 07...they always seem to be on an evening that I work. I do check out OH at least once a day and am very grateful for the support and information I get from this site!

Just finished my coffee this morning but need to push the water today.  Been slacking for the past two days on water and can definitely feel it.

QOTD -- I attended the Hurley support meeting on Monday.  I'll lead the Bay City Support Group this coming Monday.  Then next Monday I'll attend the Flint Support Group.  That's my usual.... 3 meetings per month.  Love them all!  (Except when doctors say stupid things like Dr. M did in the meeting a few days ago... still pissed about that!)

Weekend Plans -- I've got Friday off work and I'm thinking of packing up and heading to the scrapbook store to spend the day/evening working on pages.  I need to do some housework and make a trip to drop off boxes at Goodwill too.  And of course if I go to Goodwill, that means I'll have to do some shopping -- I always find the greatest deals on Saturdays for some reason.

My Recipe Index is packed full of yumminess!

Morning all,

Just wanted to stop in and say hi.

having some connection issues, and can't get online much.

About ready to dart out for lunch, had my coffee at 6:30 this morning, 32 oz water on my way to work and the protien hot chocolate, and back to water.

QFTD - I attend my local support group that Pam T leads.  Great source of infomation.  I am looking at taking some health classes that Midland Hospital is giving in Feb/March that are free to all.  I am here and 3 other boards on OH.

Here's to warmer weather.

Pam
