Hello from BATTLE CREEK !!!!!!!

Hi everyone..I didn't know there was a Michigan forum..thats great..and I am glad to be here..
I am from Battle Creek..I am 55 years old Widowed..I have been overweight most of my life..I hope to get a surgery date soon...I have Dr. Foote at Grand Health Partners in Grand Rapids as my  Dr...I have done all my testing ..but my labs came back with my thyriod way out of whack..so they up my meds and will get retested on the 5th..I am going to meet with Dr. Foote on Monday because I want to change my type of surgery to DS..so I have to meet with him...Well I guess I have rattled on long enough...I am so glad to see all the people from Michigan..

Hi Bev,  Welcome to the board..  I have heard good thngs about Dr. Foote he should do you a good job. Hope everything goes good for you to get your date.

Like Randy, I too have heard good things about Dr. Foote.  I had the DS 3 yrs ago and am pleased with not only the results but the after life of DS (what you can & can't eat for example)

If you'd like, should you have any questions about the DS I will gladly either try to answer them or point you in the right direction as to where to get your answer.
