Bathroom Scale Recommendations

Ok,  I think mine has officially taken a crap.  I know my weight fluxuates, but it said I gained 14 pounds since last Friday.  Sorry, don't think that is possible at all.  Maybe pre surgery, but not now, expecially after looking at my food journals this morning. 

Not sure if I want to go with a basic, or get a little fancier.  I seen one that measures your hydration level and fat level. 

So if you have something that you use and really like I would appreciate the input.

This is the scale I have.  My main criteria when buying one was that it had to have a balancing feature ... it wouldn't register the weight until I was balanced on the scale properly.  This seems to give very accurate weights.  I like it a lot.  (I think I got it at JC Penny or some such store.)

My friend has a scale the measures body fat percentages ... but he complains that it never gives an accurate measurement.  His weight can fluctuate as much as 5 pounds in a 5 minutes span of time.  I'd love the body fat type of scale, but his experience makes me leary.

I was looking at a Curves scale that Avon has.  I went and read the ratings.  Overall they are 25%, but most of them are less than 20% favorable.

I have one that programs in your body fat, previous weights etc and quite frankly it is just too much trouble, so I use it like a regular old scale.  I use the website calculator for figuring my BMI when I update my ticker. I don't need to know my body fat concentration etc every day,, only that I am on track with weight loss.

I am originally from Michigan but never posted on your state forum. I have been in Phoenix, AZ for over 12 years. I am 45 mins south of Detroit and I lived on a Island called Grosse Ile. I went to high school there. All my family is back in Michigan. I was looking for a new scale and I never heard of one that's reads your hydration level. What kind do they call that one. I always have to worry about dehydration when you live in Phoenix. The dehydration hits people real quick and when your a ERNY like me I get dehydrated real fast in the summer time. Do you remember where you saw that scale at ? Please let me know.
