anyone in Michigan had the DS and have Medicaid?
Not sure if I can help, but can you give a few more details? Are you having trouble getting your surgery covered? Do you need to know what the requirements are for getting approved?
The first post from the OH staff has a list of Michigan surgeons that accept Medicaid. When I clicked on it there were several listed.. Maybe you can scan the list of posters and see if they've had the DS and pm them?

I know that you have been given the list of vetted DS surgeons in Michigan already (on the DS forum), of which there are three. You have also indicated your desire to have the DS lap and not open, so that limits you choice to one vetted surgeon. It really wouldn't take much to pick up the phone and ask this question of the surgical practice.

Highest Known Weight = 370# / 59.7 bmi @ 5'6"
Current Weight = 168# / 26.4 bmi : fluctuates 5# either way @ 5'7" / more than 90% EWL
Normal BMI (24.9) = 159#: would have to compromise my muscle mass to get here without plastics, so this is not a goal.
