I am not going, but Dr. Genaw did my surgery almost 5 years ago, you are in GREAT hands.   Good Luck in your journey.

It's part of HFH's bariatric program. I guess they make all patients go to the orientation before seeing the surgeon. Patients are scheduled for it. It's not an open meeting.

i am going on feb 10th.. i also have hap hmo- so where are you exactly in the process?  I have been approved by hap, had my psych eval and passed, am going to the class on the 10th and then i will be scheduled for the consult.  i have not met the dr at all yet.  I also have Genaw.. what a small world!  my whole process began in july of 08.. how long has it taken you?

Had my psych exam also. I went to the orientation on Tuesday, pre-op clearance by my PCP was thursday. My surgical consult with Genaw is in March, I see the exercise physiologist that month too.
