9 months out and still going!
Hi all, been awhile since I posted on here, but I do stop by and read the post almost everyday. I just past 9 months out and all is well. I just recently started the p90x program and it's going great! 2 weeks in and dropped another 5 lbs. and can do more now than I could 10 years ago. We'll have to see how things go after the full 90 days but so far so good. Good luck to all! MikeW

The p90x program is a excercise program with trainer Tony Horton, you see the commericals usually at night and on the weekends on TV. It's not intended as a weight loss program but a way to get leaner and stronger. I have been working out on my own for last couple of months with little results, so I thought i'd try this. If anyone is interested they can go to beachbody.com. But I would not recommend p90x for someone unless they feel they are in pretty good shape to start with, they have a fitness test and if you don't pass the fitness test they suggest that you do not do the program. Good luck! MikeW
Hey Mike,
I had RNY Nov 07, (I've lost 110 lbs so far) my hubby is having the procedure in the next 2 mo's, he's still in the process of getting his records together and then getting the procedure scheduled. I had my surg done by Kevin Krause MD at RO Beaumont, David's setting up the procedure with him also.
The reason I'm writing is because we live in Clarkston too. Glad to hear things are going good for you.
Where do you work out? We belong to Great Lakes Athletic Club, David has a bad back so he hasn't been there much. I personally can't wait to go to Independence Oaks when the weather breaks! I'm usually not a wiener about the weather, but man this winter sucks!
Anyways, HI,
Edie

Hey Edie,
I used to go to power house gym but now I just work out at home. Congrats on the weight loss so far and good luck to your husband on getting the procedure done. My wife had her RNY done about 5 years before I got mine done and it's so helpful to have someone there who knows what to expect and is there as a support for you.
Good Luck, MikeW
