Macomb County?? Anyone? Anyone?
I have had little to no success in finding WLS people in my area.
There is only one support group in my area and it only meets once a month at 6pm and I don't even get to my side of town till 630 on a good day. So all in all i have had little support in that aspect.
I mean i have some from the few friends who know but nobody really who can relate.
My friends as supportive as they can be they really don't get it and I cannot expect them too.
I would really like some friends i can count on in my area who I can walk with exercise with maybe form our own support group or something.
If anyone is in my area please let me know I would love to meet you!!

Well, I live just out side of Memphis and work in Shelby Twp. I had the sleeve one week ago and still have so many questions. I believe the biggest fear is that of the unknown, so who knows what we could do.
I also had Dr. Hawasli as my surgeon and understand were you are coing from with only one support group.

its not so much questions that i have. its more just the need of support face to face ya know.
online pals are awesome and i have recieved sooooo much support from the friends i have made here but sometimes its that face to face contact that means the most.
i am going to go to the group on 1-7 at 630 which is the hawasli once a month.
when there i am going to suggest maybe a twice a month meeting or something.
maybe create a yahoo group or a group here for dr. hawasli's patients. i meet so many nice people in his always busy waiting room ya know.
for as successful and amazing as he is i think we should be able to connect with one another better ya know
we'll see!
