MIchigan Its ccccCOLD out there!!!!!!!!!!

When we got up for church this am the drive was blown full of 2' deep drifts so we decided to forgo  church and didn't pay much attention to outside cept to note it was windy.  I got a call couple hrs ago from a senior friend saying her neighbors  also seniors in their 90s were going without food till their  checks came the first of Jan and wouldn't accept help from her as she is hard up as well and she wanted me to find them some help.  So while I'm grabbing some stuff from cupboards and fridge and such hubby goes to barrow neighbors 4 wheel drive to go check out these good folk and when I stepped out  oohhh  boy  that wind went right through me.  man was it cold!!!!   I tried to convince Hubby it had to be -40 with windchill about -140.    but hubby says its more like  10 with -10 windchill!!!!!!!!!!!!     I still think I'm  right!!

I'm sure that truly do need Help....

God bless you for helping those people. So sad that our elderly have to choose between eating and other of life's expenses such as medications.  Since I am not that far away....If there is anything I can do to help these folks please e-mail privately and I will do what I can.

Thank you Patt.  I actually didnt do a whole lot Just enough for a couple days. I did find out which local church they attended and contacted the pastor. I believe the church will take real good care of them.  Many times all these great people of advanced years need is a word in the ear of someone more knowledgeable than i am.   I have parents their age in another part of the state>  When I help someone here, then when my folks need help and I cant be there, someone will be helping them.   I truely believe God works through us that way.  Merry Christmas!
