Hi - had RNY on Monday, as well as, had a large hernia repaired at the same time.  Had a lot of difficulties, so was in the hospital until Friday.  Think some of my complications were due to an incomptent nurse who decided what she felt I needed, couldn't be found half the time in order to get my meds from her, etc...

Curious how others are tracking their intake to ensure they're getting the appropriate amount of protein, meds, calories, etc....  Are you using a spreadsheet you could share, a website??  Thanks.

Sorry you had a rough start on this journey!  Hope things continue to look up for you.

In the beginning, I used Fitday.com to track all my intake.  It's a pretty easy website to use and it is free.  I know there are others, but I'm not sure what they are.  Hopefully, someone else will pop on here and let you know of some other sites that were helpful.  Good luck!  Tina

I also had surgery at the U and wasn't thrilled with most of the nursing staff.  I was happy with my surgeon, though.

I use www.fitday.com.  I enter a lot of custom foods for stuff I eat every day.  Don't stress about getting exactly all of your protein and liquids in at first.  It's pretty much impossible.  But keep trying, eventually you'll get there.

You can use one of those pill boxes to make sure you're taking everything you should.  Use Patti's sheets as a guideline.  I thought I would never remember it all, but pretty soon it will be second nature to you.
