Got in an accident today :(

It was later this afternoon, we were going out to eat with kevin's parents and this lady in front of us just stopped, quickly.... Kevin's dad hit the brakes, I slid forward on the seat toward the back of the front seat. Then I wonder "why am I moving forward again?"  We were rear-ended by an off duty cop in her own SUV.  She was going about 25-30 miles an hour when she hit us. (this was near the corner of allen and pennsylania near trenton, MI) . I was taken to the hospital by ambulance because of my neck and back were really sore, couldn't even turn my head or look upwards.  So did kevin's mom, for the same reasons sort of, it was mostly her back.  Kevin bit a little chunk of tongue off and kevin's dad has some headaches.  I was given a morphine shot and was sent home with some tylenol 3 liquid for the pain in my neck and back.  Its now moving into my shoulders and right arm a little....

I didn't have my seat belt on.  ( I was in the back seat passenger side ) I am thankful that I didn't actually. With my new pouch I was afraid it could have done alot of harm, with the belt hitting it so forcefully...... Has anyone else thought of this or am I being paranoid with my new tummy?

ANyhow...  Glad to be home and will be going to bed very soon....

I know when your sent home from the hospital they want you to limit your trips in the car for awhile since you are sensitive in that area. I would still watch your body to make sure everything is okay. I have not been in an accident since my surgery... THANK GOD... But I know that even since my TT last year I am still kind of sensitive sometimes in my stomach area... If I lay on it and sit up on it or something. So jus****ch things.

I am sorry that your family was injured. Hopefully everyone will get better soon.

I was in a really bad car accident TWO weeks out from my TT earlier this year.  My vehicle was totalled.  I did have a seat belt on.  At the time of the accident I did have two drains left.  I was not taken to the hospital, as I felt fine.  I was less that five miles from home when the accident happened.  When I finally got home I changed my clothes and noticed my drain lines were bright red when they had been almost clear.  I immediately called my PS and he was concerned about the color, but more concerned that they may fill up really fast.  I was told to keep an eye on them and if they started filling up then I had to get into a hospital ASAP.  Fortunately they did not fill up and the PS thought I may some minor 'bumps and bruises' inside - hence the color change.  Our bodies do heal themselves, internally, rather quickly. 

Did you call your bariatric surgeon and inform them of what happened?  They may want to take a look at you, just to be on the safe side.  If all else, it will atleast give them a heads up.

Doing well, thank you for asking!  Been BUSY!   Single life is definitely 'interesting' that is for sure!!  Having fun though, along with several bumps along the way. 

DiNick sure did a job on me!  I go out and get hit on so much anymore that I sometimes have to take a step back and say to myself 'whoa'.  I'm not used to it.  And sometimes it's just too much.

Yeah, my life always has a lot going on!!  Unfortunately.  Need to take a slow down, but I don't see that happening!  Let's see......since I last spoke with you, the guy I was seeing at that time - we broke up.  Met another guy a few months later.  Found out about a month ago that what I had suspected for about two weeks was true - he was cheating on me.  So now I am just playing the dating game and dating three different guys!  I know, I know.....  So yeah, I guess you could say DiNick did that!! Or so I have been told SEVERAL times anyways.  And yes, I am very happy!!!!!! 

That pic was taken in El Paso about two months ago.  I went on a post-divorce vacation for a week and had a blast.  Of course, I got detained at customs when coming back from Mexico.  My passport photo did not look like me, despite the fact that I had an updated photo in it and my drivers license with me.  Go figure.  Thank god I had my fingerprints on file due to going to Russia to get Jake!!

Christina, I am so glad that your alive and sore... It could have been a lot worse and or even death. Take care of yourself and the ones you love. Let us know if you need some prayers sent your way.
