Good Morning Randy and all you Michiganders

It is a cold Crisp morning in Mid Michigan.  Got my sidewalks shoveled and salted so my MIL will not slip and fall when she goes to church this morning.  She becomes a house hermit in the winter, going out generally only on Sunday for church, and then she doesn't really want to do that.  She is 85 and really scared of falling and being put in a nursing home.

Back to my normal protien coffee routine.  Had to take a few days break my pouch was giving me issues.    My weekend is almost my normal, groceries and errands on Saturday, housework and laundry on Sunday.  Throw in a family christmas party last night and a trip to the funeral home this afternoon

What keeps me posting here - besides the wonderful people I have met, the knowledge that I get.  I actually learned alot with last weeks HOT topic.

Hope everyone has a great day, and stay warm.

Man, Randy, that's a lot of questions for an early Sunday morning!

I'm drinking water since DH bought milk last night that expired on Wednesday, so no protein hot cocoa for me until later.

What did I put off that I need to do today?  EVERYTHING!  I have to go to the gym, do some Christmas shopping, grocery shopping, clean the house, make soup for lunches this week, and do laundry.  Think I'll get it all done before bedtime tonight?

There isn't just one thing that keeps me posting here.....but the main thing is people fascinate me.  I love hearing how people that are really different from me live their lives.  I like to hear about Randy up north in the "country" and Carrie in Canada.  I think both Pams have really cool lives that are just different from mine.  I do pick up some WLS info and I'm grateful for that, but I guess I'd have to say getting to know everyone is the main reason I check in almost daily.

Oh yeah, there are the friends that are now "real life" friends.....we started talking on the board and I've actually gotten to know them off of the computer.   I love them, so that's a big reason I like the board too.

Good morning, all!  I'm patiently waiting for the coffee fairy (my hubby) to bring me a cup.  LOL!  He's actually doing that right now.  Starbucks Breakfast Blend is in my cup, well about 1/2 my cup, topped off with water.

We're no****ching the news this AM, but actually a show on National Geographic called Crash Science.  It's all about automobile safety and the development of safety features in cars.  In the 50's there were two men at Wayne State University that did crash tests....using their own bodies.  CRAZY!   They have studied the car accidents that killed Jayne Mansfield and James Dean.  Both would've survived in more modern vehicles.  I did not know that Mansfield died in such a horrible car crash.  The car she was riding in slammed into the rear of a semi.  The impact tore the roof off the car and tore back her scalp. WOW.  Sorry, this show is just REALLY interesting!

Anyway, why do I come to the boards?  To visit with my friends!  And like the VERY intelligent, beautiful Brenda said, I've met REAL LIFE friends on this board.  Friends I'll have the rest of my life.  Friends with which I can commiserate.  Friends who understand my plight and are not judgemental.  Friends who are bright, funny and intelligent.  Friends who are there when I need them to be and want them to be, but also go away and leave me alone.  LOL!  Plus, it's always interesting to hear about other people's lives and journeys!  PEOPLE ARE INTERESTING!  Diversity makes us so.

Ok, back to my show....mmmmm, coffee.  I really stick to my one cup of coffee a day and lots of water.  I barely drank any during the 1st tri-mester.  It didn't taste right at all.  Weird.

Well, I wasn't sure and had just seen this on that show.  I googled it.  She did indeed die in a car accident and was basically "scalped".   I'm looking up the Manson thing.

Sharon Tate Polanski was killed by the Manson "family".  She was married to Roman Polanski.

What is the [1] one thing that keeps you posting on this site?
Nothing really stops me- I just try not to post too many personal things. Negative people but sometimes that fuels me if they tick me off...sorry
Edit:OK dumb me- I read the question wrong...doh!! Friends definetly keep me posting and I mainly lurk and read about everyones journey.  Learn new tips etc.. Have met a lot of great friends in real life on here and would not change a thing!!

What did you not do that you need to do  over the week end?
Christmas Cards- this year I am only sending a few cards out to special people...expense and time is a huge factor!!
