Thursday Morning Coffee !!!
The joys of the MEA. Our Feb break is a week long. And then our spring break starts on Good Friday, which I think is in March this year. I haven't looked.
I was gonna go to AZ to my sister's house in Feb, but I'm not going now. Sis happy for me, but is bummed that I won't be flying out! Me too, since right now their weather is consistently in the 80's!!!

Yep, my oldest sis and her hubby moved to Tucson, about a year ago. They are in the finishing stages of building a house, which has nearly caused a divorce....seriously. But I was planning on going out and still think it would be OK to fly out there in Feb, but AJ (and my MIL and my other sis) all say NO! LOL!

Since you asked, I thought I would take a moment and do the equation.
126 days total days.
I should be down at least 40lbs by then! It's almost unimaginable. The most I have ever been able to lose, not even keep off was 30. I keep picturing myself thin and I really like that thought. No more bp meds, no more cpap - what will I look like without sleep marks from the mask.

Good Morning Everyone
I haven't had my surgery but I have been thinking a lot about getting thin. I hope I can gracefully, unselfconsciously give a polite - "Thanks for noticing. I finally have all the tools I need to lead a healthy life"
I don't want to have to get into the surgery debate, and I think some people who had WLS may say they did it though weigh****chers.....which is fine, because it is a great tool. But someone like me needed a grip on my hunger and eating high fiber, low cal food was not doing it!

Congads on your surgery, Any second thoughts you would like to talk about. You will be starting your pre surgery diet soon. That was not that bad I think we are all to geeked up about the surgery to complain....lol
I've started doing Optifast Tuesday hoping that it will allow me to ease into my pre-op diet.
I do good all day and until about 7:00 p.m. It's like I need another meal to satisfy me for the remainder of the night. I have decided that tonight I am going to plan another shake and some type of protein for 8:00. I think I need to take a closer look at my water intake. I drink water all day, so I think I easily get in my 64 ounces. But I will start measuring instead of guessing.
Since my pre-op liquid starts the day after Christmas, it won't be too bad. But I have to keep my calories to 1000 before I start my pre-op liquid.
I have to believe that if I start having a plan, that will help. Just winging it has gotten me where I at today.
I do hope, though, with the WLS, that the evenings will be easier. Because I don't really want to graze, although I do, what I really want another meal. Does that make sense?
Anyway my PCP wants me to lose whatever I can before my surgery. The more I lose before will be that much less to lose after surgery.

We put a bunch of things to do in a box. Then when we go to eat we take something we like to do out of the box and do it for a short time and it take your mind off eating.
It works for us
Give it a try
