Because I am throwing the Christmas tree out the window and I don't want to hit anyone!!  I am such a ditz.  I typically don't assemble or put the lights on the tree that is DH's job.  Well this year he has been so busy with work that he only had time to put the tree together thus far and since I want it decorated before March I took it upon myself to put the lights on it.  Well I didn't like it the whole time I was doing it I get done and I don't have the plug end at the end of the lights so I can't plug it in!!  I called home depot to see if there was an attachment to plug it in and he said that if I have any exposed male ends they will get hot so I have to take ALL the lights off and put them back on!  UGH!!!!

Oh well I think I will count this as some exercise.  LOL

I just had to let that out.  thank you now I will return to that tree.

I have done that before.. Now I DO let my hubby do the lights, we generally do them together but I am such a blonde sometimes (no offense to anyone :)  )  It can put a crimp in anyones day....

Hope your day goes better :)

Oh joy!!  It actually gets worse.  LOL So I restrung the lights and as I was doing that my cat jumped on a branch and it fell off and I can't get it back in.  Then out of frustration I sat on the couch only to sit on the angel that goes on top of the tree.  She isn't gonna make it I am fat I broke that *****  SOOO if that wasn't up I get to the end and plug them in and drum roll half of them aren't lit.

Thankfully I have a sense of humor.  Oh actually thankfully I am not on liquids anymore because that may have been a dangerous situation.  LOL

Back to the drawing board.  If I manage to screw anything else up I am gonna have to ask your DH to put them up for me.  lol

DH went to Kmart and bought one of those stupid Martha Stewart pre-lit trees.  We have always had a real one but he is in such a saving money kick that he said no to it this year.

I HATE fake trees!!!  They don't smell good...they don't dump needles on your carpet...they don't have to be watered every day.  Where's the fun in that???

Ellen,

You poor thing... I do feel for ya :)  But just know that a sense of humor and the ability to laugh at yourself is the best thing you can have... I think anyhow....

You will get there, some time... (I hope :)  )

You should have given up and had us all over for a tree trimming party!

I hate doing that kind of stuff because I ALWAYS mess it up.  But then again, I leave it to DH and then complain about the job he does LOL

Good Luck to you....and don't sit on any more angels!  It's got to be bad luck or something!

Well, all I got to say is, you are more patient than me!  I would have given up a long time ago.  We'd either have no tree or a tree with no lights.  But yes, that has always been the "boy job" in the house.

Good Luck!  Watch out for them angels!!  LOL!!!
