Stricture

Well, I can drink water but it hurts as it tries to empty, and I can't eat solids because it is too painful.  Feels like someone is pinching it shut and letting it out SLOWLY.....

So I am scheduled for a scope to see if I have a stricture and if so I get a dilation....  Its not the worst thing in the world, but I sure am wanting to chew on stuff.... but it will get taken care of on Friday.... I hope that this is all it is....

Glad you're having it looked at!

I am on liquids only til then, but I have tried to eat some chili and it worked ok, not great but then I tried to eat something again, telling myself that there isn't really anything wrong, and I was seriously mistaken... hurt like an SOB! 

Anyhow, I know I will be fine :)

Sorry to hear about your issues Christina!  I actually had a stricture last week that was taken care of this past friday.  I didn't find the endoscopy to be bad at all.  My throat was a bit sore for about two days but not terribly.  The worst part for me was that I couldn't eat for a few days.  LOL I was hungry. 

Good luck!  Let us know what happens. 

I had the scopes done before for gasritis, so I know what to expect, but the only thing I am concerned with is what if its an ulcer and not a striciture... but I won't worry about it... nothing i can do cept have it looked at...

and I am already hungry.... but I have my popcicles...

Yikes!! Hopefully they can get it fixed.

Good luck.. the scope is a breeze..and they give you good happy drugs. It only takes them a few minutes to do it all.
