We're supposed to get freezing rain/sleet tonight. A snow day would be nice. I don't feel like driving to Hillsdale tonight for symphony practice, even though our concert is next week!
At 5:30 this morning, AJ got up, started my car and cleaned off all the snow, shoveled a path to my car and around my car and then got out the snow blower and did the driveway. How sweet (and necessary)!

Highest Known Weight = 370# / 59.7 bmi @ 5'6"
Current Weight = 168# / 26.4 bmi : fluctuates 5# either way @ 5'7" / more than 90% EWL
Normal BMI (24.9) = 159#: would have to compromise my muscle mass to get here without plastics, so this is not a goal.

Randy, just wondering how 'you' determine what is / isn't appropriate for 'this board'.
I am still trying to digest exactly what a certain someone found so inappropriate with my original post, that it required her to solicit back-up from another board. Her explanation made no sense to me, or many others. And when that completely back-fired on her (because there were many people *****sponded to her call for help, but unfortunately for her, nobody else found my post inappropriate), she 'reported' the post and had it moved to R & R.
The outcome result is that I am now inspired to share my experience with the DS often on the Michigan board, in hopes of educating pre-ops on their options. So, thanks folks, you will be hearing a LOT more from me!

At least have the sense to realize that the post got reported because of the name calling and completely uncalled for behavior.
Then, if you will, look over our "boring" posts from today. Nobody is mean, or spiteful, or swearing, or bragging or unsupportive. We were having a fine day until you showed up.
You have a right to post here, just like I have a right to find your original post rude, offensive, and insensitive and to tell you that.
The only PMs I got were from people that thought I was absolutely correct but did not want to be attacked by the few that have a reputation for doing that.
Kim, this is supposed to be a place to support each other....not prove who is most right or which surgery is the best. You're not making any LOCAL friends by being like this. Of course we can't tell you what to do, but I can tell you from experience that it's nice to have friends that live close by that share your experiences. I've made great life-long friends from this board, and I didn't do it by acting like a guest on Jerry Springer and yelling and swearing. I hope you haven't driven away Michiganders that could have really been a great support system for you. People from other boards are fun to spar with, but they will never have that local connection that all of us here do.

Since this is suppose to be a place where we support each other, why did you post what you originally posted in the first place? Why not just ignore the post if you had nothing positive or supportive to say in the first place? Do you jump on those who have had RnY and say "I dont dump, I can eat sugar and it doesnt bother me."?
And saying that Kim was swearing and yelling and acting like a guest on Jerry Springer is going a bit over board. Perhaps someone else within the thread did some swearing and cussing, but I dont think Kim ever did.
And I think you are being a bit elitist by saying "people from other boards are fun to spar with, but...". Sorry but I find a lot more support on two other OH boards. Yes its nice when you are talking about a specific doctor or where to find something you are looking for, but this board is not the BEST BOARD IN ALL OF OH. In fact I have found a number of people on the other boards from Michigan who have never even been on this board. I gladly tell them about it because I think it is a great place to meet people that are local. And maybe they could find someone that they could meet up with face to face. But just because someone is on the Michigan board doesnt mean I will have an immediate connection to them.
I really think perhaps you need to reevaluate how you handled yourself during this whole issue and not be so quick to put the blame on others. Why did you even respond? Perhaps you should have remembered the age old advice "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all."
