I'm too scared to go over there and look.  My fragile ego can't take it.

And no snow days!  I don't have a babysitter!!

Your fragile ego certainly had no problem running right over there to solicit back-up for yourself last night.  Now that it didn't work out the way you wanted, deal with reality and read the thread -- people didn't agree with you.  Acknowledge reality!  You jumped to conclusions, and projected some obvious personal issues, and people saw right through you.

'They ganged up' on you?  Please Shannon, for your own sake, attempt to at least scratch the surface of reality.  You jumped right in, contributing absolutely nothing of value, just wanting to see your face over & over again as you posted your 'wit'.

'People are just ignorant and dont listen to other peoples opinions'.  I couldn't agree more.  Pot, meet kettle.

Oh, and you finally stopped because the post was locked down, and for no other reason.  You kept saying over & over again that you were done, but you couldn't stop yourself.  Pathetic.

Funny, I got no hateful PMs or emails, all just complete support from perfect strangers.

People here may not see through you, but you have yourself a new fan club:

Good Morning Everyone!  Finally decided to join the group.

Trying to get ready for my VSG 12/29.  Want to do pre-diet early to lose some weight before surgery, as well as getting prepared for surgery.  Still have that "will fail"  nagging me.  But I figure every pound I lose before my surgery gets me closer to my  goal.  Therefore I am drinking an RTD Optifast.

Anyone willing to share which vitamins they take and where they were purchased would be helpful.  Last night I went to Target - don't ever remember seeing so many choices.  We were told to take a daily with 100% B-Complex, 18 mg iron and 400 mcg folate.  Also looking at the B12 they were sublingual, but it was a B-Complex that did have the amount of B-12 they want us to take daily.

Hope to be joining you every morning.

Hey there Colleen,
I started out getting a sublingual tablet B 12 from Vitamin Shoppe.  They have thier own brand plus a few others.  Now I use a B-12 spray, and my numbers are really good, but I'm 2 years post op.

I take the Country Life Maxine Multi vites, which I also get at Vitamin Shoppe.  They are more expensive than store brand multis, but the calcuim is in citrate form and it does contain some biotin.  (I still take a seperate calcium suppliment as well).  My labs have always been good, so I'm pretty happy with what I'm taking.

Welcome Colleen!  Hopefully you'll find an inviting group here.  Sounds you are well on your way to being succesful.  I think we all understand the "will fail" feeling.  It's one you just have to keep working on!  Most of us continue working on that each day!

On the vitamins, I have been taking prescription pre-natals for 5 years.  I continued on them after I had surgery 3 years ago, except now they are chewables.  I know there are many people on here that can advise you on vitamins.  I'm glad mine are prescribed because then I don't have to DECIDE which one to take!

Have a great day! Tina

You may want to check on the VSG board for ideas on vitamins. they may be slightly different than what is expected for a person with RnY.

We have about 5 inches of snow at my house.  It's so strange because the snow line (according to the news) just barely dipped down to Chelsea and Ann Arbor, and then pretty much stayed north of 94 and 96.  So, on my way home from work, I drive out of the "winter wonderland" and into the snowless landscape of Wayne County.  As I got closer to home last night, the snow was clinging to the trees and and was beautiful.  But I'd still rather be basking in the sun somewhere!

The board last night.  Was not cool.    It normally doesn't get that bad on here.  "That's all I have to say about that."

We don't have snow, but it was slippery here this morning!  Imagine me in my pj's trying to push Nick in his chair down to the bus.....it was total ice capades!  He thought it was hilarious, as did the bus drivers.  Me, not so much!
