Hi Friends,

Has anyone ever experienced going from eating pureed food and having a lump in your throat to being able to eat anything and everything two days later?  I am up 2 pds. since last week, can eat anything and the lump in my throat is gone.  Does this mean I need a fill?  I was just wondering if my stomach swelling has diminished and that's why I can eat.
Thanks for any input.

Hope you got an answer to your question, Larr.  But in my experience the band can be like that, tight one day and fine the next.  Last night I was able to eat an 8 ounce fillet mignon, but today I am back to 1/2 cup servings.  I just enjoy a splurge it while it lasts and am grateful for restriction the rest of the time. But if you continue to e able to eat anything and everything, you need to get in for a fill, since that is what got us in trouble in the first place.

Hi Judy,

Thanks for replying and I did get some answers.  My Surgeon was going to give me my first fill the other day but said that he was afraid that the incision above my port might be infected.  I am now on antibiotics for 10 days and will hopefully get my band tightened on the 17th.  It's frustrating because I am really hungry and not doing very good diet wise.  Of course, after the 17th, I am sure that will change.  My family is trying to talk me into waiting until after Christmas to get it tightened.  I want to get on with this but then again...what's one more week?

Hope all is well with you!
