PAT

Can someone explain the term PAT?? I see it used often. I'm awaiting a surgery date. All tests were done and BC/BS has approved.

Pre-admission testing.  I had to go the hospital, where I was having surgery a week or so, prior to my surgery, to have this done.  Wasn't anything too substantial.  An ekg, breathing test, etc. 

Thanks, I thought that was it but not sure.
