OT - Black Friday

How are you? Do tell, where do you work that they are giving out gift bags ?

I work at Midland Mall, and at 6 a.m. we have 400 gift bags containing anywhere from $10 to $500 in gift cards for the mall and mall merchants.  Most all bags contain $20-25 worth of gift cards/gift certificates.  They also have coupons from merchants like free pretzels from Auntie Annes, Free appetizer at Ruby Tuesday, $5.00 for one of the jewelers, Avon samples and books,  CJ and Christopher banks have gave us couponos for $20 off a $80 purchase.    Last year our gift bags were gone in under 10 minutes because people line up when the mall opens for some stores at 5 a.m.  We start handing the bags out at 6 a.m.

Fashion Square in Saginaw is also giving away gift bags at 6 a.m, 400 containing the same types of materials with the big prize there of one bag with $1000 in gift cards. 

Both malls also are giving away a 62' flat screen HDDLP tv with surround sound, PS3 and entertainment center.  There are places also to register to win a free trip to Cancun (I think) and a drawing every week for $100 gift card and a chance to win a Smart Car. 

You're CRAZY!  I hate shopping as it is, I really would never go out the day after Thanksgiving.  I will be eating left-overs all day while the others are out of the house!  Day after Christmas, yes, but that is just for the cheap decorations, candy, and all the junk that I DON'T need!

So, Walmart in Greenville is just as bad as Alpine.  Alpine might even be better, because of the new store.  That Hastings one seems to be the best, and I think their KMart is better.

When people are shoving you to get into the store before you, remember that you don't have the weight you used to and they might push you right over!  Be careful!!!

Alright I guess I will just stick with Alpine. I really dont want to drive all the way down to Hastings.

I think I still have plentyof weight to push back Plus I wont get winded if fists start flying *haha*....

LOL  Better watch out for me then....last year I yelled at a 90 yr old woman for cuttng in front of 100's of us waiting in line for an hour.  Even though she was old- doesnt mean she cant wait in line like the rest of us.  If she is so old and frail she shouldnt be out shopping alone...LOL
I am really not that bad but some things tick me off :)
