a friend needs HAP help

What kind of advice can I give him about HAP? I know Ford is where he has to go and Carlin or Genaw are the surgeons but how do we jump the hurdles?

What hurdles is your friend facing?  With HAP he has to have his PCP referral then he will get a call from the HAP nurses and set up his psych eval.  Once the psych eval is sent to HAP he will be forward for the orientation program at HF.  After orientation he will meet with the surgeon and get the surgery ball rolling.  Does that help?  If he gets a denial from his PCP referral, make sure he does a dr and patient appeal explaining why he should have this surgery.  A lot of the HAP patients have to appeal.  I had to.  This program is worth jumping through the hoops.
