I'm baaack!
Hi, all! Long time, no post...
A quick update for me:
As of my 1-year post-op ann, I lost 145lbs. I weigh less now than I did in high school 20+ years ago. I no longer have to use my C-PAP to sleep, I don't have diabetes, and I have much more energy and stamina. For the first time since I was 12, I can cross my legs at the knee! And buy clothes right off the rack at Meijer -- in the "regular" section (as opposed to plus-size). It's astounding!
On Labor Day, I walked the Mackinac Bridge -- 5 miles -- then took a ferry to the Island where I got on a bike and did the entire circumference -- 8 miles. A year before, I could NEVER have done those things! Heck, I was even out-pacing my best friend who went with me, and she has biked and hiked every day for the past 10 years.
GO, ME!!!
I know I'm close to my target weight, but the one thing preventing me from reaching it is the ton of LOOSE SKIN hanging on my frame. I still suffer a lot of lower back/pelvic pain from the apron, and my legs have a tendency to go to sleep from the skin laying on my thighs when I'm sitting down. I have Medicaid/Medicare but don't know which plastic surgeons in the Grand Rapids area will do the TT (or any other reductions, ie arms and breasts, and that lovely turkey wattle hanging under my ***** Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Anyway, this is me checking in...HI, EVERYONE!!!

To be successful you must have faith and take each day one day, one step and one breath at a time.
