I went to the Expo yesterday too.  What did you think of it overall?  It was fun, but I  was a little disapointed in all the vendors that did not really relate to WL or WLS.  I am home sick today so no church for me.  I am so not ready for snow.

Hi Renee, I to think there was  too many vender that did not relate to us. I was hoping that there would be more food venders there for us after wls people, Was fun anyway. what time was you there?  We was there to about 2:00 and then we lift for home.

I agree with you.  I was disapointed that everywhere I turned they wanted to scan my body, give me a free cleansing or offer me jewlery. What food they did have there most did not pertain to WLS surgery only WL options.  Not enough protein or too many sugars.  I was there from about 10:30 until about 3:00 pm.  It was fun.  The best was probably meeting Laura from Focus 28 and Joanna from OH.  They did a makeover on me.. even my eyebrows.. lol.  Joanna took some pics for some feature on the Expo in the next months magazine issue.  It was fun.  I did end up buying some Z-Coil shoes for work.  That was a positive.

The Bariatrics 23rd Psalm

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not fail!
He makes me lie down and do sit-ups,
He leads me to lots of protein-laced water,
He restores my health.
He guides me to support meetings and online accountability groups.
Even though I walk through the food court at the mall,
I will fear no egg rolls, for you are with me
McDonalds and Taco Bell will not harm me.
You prepare a table before me that is not the enemy.
You annoint my head with positive thoughts;
My heart overflows with thanks for a new life.
Surely good decisions and love of self will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in a place of health and peace forever.

Hi Randy-

I like the psalms!

Today it's rainy and cold in grand rapids so I'm staying close to home and going to put a whole chicken in the oven for dinner.  The cats are sluggish because I have the heat on so high!  I for one am NOT ready for winter.

I plan to do some work this afternoon to make my week that much easier.

I was thinking about going to the weightloss show in Detroit yesterday and by the sounds of it i'm glad I didnt make the drive.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

I have to agree, the expo was nice, but the vendor options were a little lacking. I was hoping for more on the lines of food options and other supplements. Too many makeup/clothing/jewelry vendors. Nice to see my surgeon's office there though. I was also surprised there wasn't more in the lines of plastics there for post ops.
