MMPC (GHP) Behavior Evaluation - What to Expect?
Ack. That's one that I'd rather have not seen go over. He is just so myopic, it's like talking to a brick wall.
Y'know -- with as many people who are put-off by him, you'd think they'd do something. Like tell him to leave his religious obsession out of professional business. My personal therapist is Christian, she has Christian icons around her office, but she has never tried to put her beliefs on me nor has she ever judged me for my lifestyle choices. I have a few friends who are also Christian who are like this, too -- because they follow the example of Christ in not judging others and are accepting of all people.
In my life, I've encountered a couple of people who had the audacity to say, "Oh, you're not Christian? Don't worry -- you'll come around." (Apparently, some people haven't heard of the First Ammendment...) Often, I've been forced into the position where I've had to reply, "Um, no, sorry: I won't. It's religious fanatics like you who make me steer clear. I don't 'need to be saved,' and because I don't subscribe to your beliefs I also don't think I'm going to spend eternity with your boogie man. So don't treat me like there's something 'wrong' with me because I'm not a member of your little club. Oh, and have a nice day."
