I went for my 6 week postop this morning.  My weigh in was 298 lbs so I am down at grand total of 55 lbs.  I need to frequent Frankenmuth more often, ha, I know this seems like so little to all you that have lost alot more, but to me its like just great, I am finally below 300 lbs and know thats its gone forever this time.  Its so sweet!  Now my NUT gave me the go ahead for all foods.  Wow, that should be interesting.....I tried a small lean cuisine for lunch, I got half of it down, the rest was too much.  I had four cheese connelloni.  Tasted just ok.  Maybe my tastebuds will come back one of these days.  So anyway just wanted to share that I am offically in "twoderland"

Congrats on the great checkup!! Wow 55 lbs in six weeks
is fantastic. I better get on the stick or you will be passing me up....lol.

I like Lean Cuisine meals a lot.....but I don't do pasta...just
don't like it now and didn't b/4 surg. either.

I actually weighed myself this morning and I lost 3/4 lb. during our Frankenmuth weekend. Must have been all the walking.

Good for you girl....keep up the great work.

Hugs,
Pat R.

Debbie,

I think that 55 pounds in 6 months is absolutely awesome..  You should be really proud of yourself..
I agree with you about the taste bud thing- It becomes funny to think that food just losses its appeal and that things we used to like no longer are as good as we remember..
I am not a real big fan of pasta or frozen foods, primarily because they seem to be really salty to me,
Even with my surgery date so far in the past, food is still a "trial and Error" thing to me sometimes certain things work, an the next time- they don't.
Congrats again on the wonderful weigh loss.

Debbie ~

What a great day for you -- CONGRATULATIONS!!!  Many, many great weight loss days are in store for you, but saying good-bye to that '3' being in front of your weight, FOREVER, is just one of the best feelings ever!!!

Please, don't ever compare your progress to anybody else.  We are all so unique, and our bodies will just work through the process as it was meant to.  It is hard not to compare to other people, I know, but if you are going to compare to anything head over to the lab rate area.  Much more realistic than just the limited people you follow.

That said, 55# in 6 weeks is just fantastic!!  Come on, when have you ever lost 55# in 6 short weeks?  And, even better, when have you ever lost 55# that you know you would never see again??

Again, CONGRATULATIONS, and let me know when you are ready to meet up for some coffee talk!

That loss is truly inspiring.  I am very happy for you. Congratulations.  I hope I do as well with my 6 week check up.  I've lost over 45 pounds since last winter's high of 355, 25 pounds this past month with liquid protein diet prior to surgery and this week after. My Primary care doctor check up one week out put me at 307.  Breaking 300 would truly be awesome.  If I loose what you did at my 6 week, I will be truly amazed.
