Hi everyone,
I was just sitting here with a hot cup of decaf tea, thinking about my day and all of you, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend.
Today my DH and I took my 78 year old mom to Grand Haven today for a walk on the pier, and to dinner downtown Grand Haven.  It was a beautiful day, the weather was great for a walk on the pier.  My mom loved it.  She is an outdoor lady.  We lost my dad in 2004 and it still seems like yesterday, (one of the hardest experiences I had to go through) anyway he would have been with us today.
At dinner I had a cup mushroom soup (wasnt' very good so only ate about 1/2 cup), as I watched my DH eat, I was set back at how much he could consume, a half pound burger witht the works on a bun, a bunch of fries dipped in mayo.   I use to eat right along with him and then wonder hummm wonder what they have for desert.  I just can't believe that I can survive on the little food I eat now, and feel as good as I do.  How did portion control ever get this out of hand?  No wonder we have a country full of obese people (me right along with em).  Wow I am glad I can't eat that much anymore.  My husband says I think I better go on a diet starting tommorrow...Ha he is so funny.  He weighs 230 lbs at 5'8.  He could stand to lose a bit.  But I love him however he wants to be.  Poor guy keeps eating what I can't and thats alot of extra food he doesn't need.
Thanks to all of you for your support.  Have a wonderful evening.

My husband did that.  Ate what I didn't finish, along with his food.  He's put on A LOT of weight in the past three years.  Although, he has dropped about 30 pounds in the past 2 months doing South Beach, so he's within 20 pounds of his weight the day I had surgery!

Glad you had such a nice day! It is amazing how much of our life centers around food and what we will be eating next.
