For Mom, and Kelly

I had bypass surgery on Aug 26. Dr. Woods is/was my surgeon. He is kind, compassionate, intelligent and funny. He really seems to care alot about the success of his patients. I haven't experienced not one bad day related to the actual surgery. (I'm learning alot about myself and what I can and cannot do, but that's my own responsibility). The office staff are open and receptive to most all of my questions and requests. Together the doctors and staff are awesome.

Dr. Wood did my gastric bypass in May 2006. My surgery was free of complications and my stay at Harper Hospital was just fine. I've had absolutely no complications in the 2 1/2 years since my surgery and I've lost a total of 112 pounds. I am still 10 pounds from my goal of a normal BMI but honestly, I'm not at all disappointed to be where I am. I also had a tummy tuck (and a facelift!) earlier this year so I feel even more that my journey has been successful. Dr. Wood and Dr. Taylor are both wonderful - - I have nothing but the greatest respect for them and what they do. The support program they offer is well-attended (I still attend regularly) and the office staff are all very friendly, professional and supportive. If you choose either Dr. Wood or Taylor, you will be in "good hands"!!!
Good luck!
Karen
