Saturday Morning Coffee Anyone?

Great day today, Are you getting ready for Holloween? I have tranformed the yard. I enjoy the seasons and colors tours we take. Drinking the same old thing and planning to go to the farmers market today . Whats your plans?

I'm not a fan of Halloween.  I've seen kids who are free lunch, never have new clothes, can't ever afford a field trip or don't get hot meals at home, show up to school on Halloween with a $100 costume.  And it's the only time I would see those parents.  They came to school that day to make sure their child's costume was just right.  Never came to conferences or cared about their grades/behavior, but they were RIGHT there on Halloween.  So, yeah, I've become a bit jaded about Halloween, in that respect. 

ANYWAY.....we went "home" for the weekend.  At the in-laws, right now.  We're taking out our dock this weekend.  I'm going to a babyshower and then tonight we are having a bunch of friends over to my inlaws for a bonfire!  WOO HOO!

I don't like Halloween so much as the Fall season.  I so hate to say it but here in Michigan the whole holiday has become so trashy.   I did dig a ton of old pics out of the garage last night.  They are of my youngest, moodiest kid.  He's in  Peter Pan, Clown, Barney, and Easter Bunny costumes.  I'm sitting here right now debating if I should post them to his Myspace or not. 

It looks like it's going to be a great day outside.  For those of you that are in to that kind of thing.  Have a great one!!!

Halloween used to be my favorite day of the year.  Last year my 'babies' went trick-or-treating w/o me. They chose to go w/ their friends so it wasn't as fun.  I do still enjoy it though.

I'm only just over 3 weeks out so I'm not feeling up to decorating for any of the holidays this year.  Maybe I will at some point.  I used to go all out on Halloween.  It'll be quiet this year.  I will buy dollar store toys to hand out instead of candy though.
