MMPC'ers... are you switching or staying?

They are not moving until the first part of November but the number was in the letter they sent.  I think almost everyone in the office is going with them.  What will that do to their center of excellence rating?  I am going with Dr. Kemmeter.

Thanks so much, Judy.  I haven't gotten my approval yet but even if I am denied, I still want my surgery and I didn't want to wait until November to get things moving with them if at all possible.  Thanks again!

My paperwork has been sent in to stay with Dr Kemmeter.  I am 10 months post surgical, but I can't imagine anyone staying with MMPC with a more inexperienced surgeon, when you can be with this great group.  I understand almost all the office staff is going with, including the dieticians, Scott, Andy, the support staff and Dr White, as well as the PAs.  My goodness, these guys have mad the reputation and someone else may reap the benefits.  That is just unfortunate.  Think about someone a couple of years postop and if they didn't pay attention ot the letter, they may recommend MMPC to someone interested in having WLS--and it isn't even the same practice!
I will be at the new office for my one year checkup!!

You know, I never got a letter, but I happened to be over that way today for an appointment at the pain clinic with the rehab doctor, so I stopped over there and asked for a letter and they gave me a form to fill out if I wanted my records transferred. Of course, I filled it out. I hoped my insurance will cover them. I'll find out next year because it changes all the time. And from what I understand, the Center of Excellence follows with the doctors.

Dr. Baker started that practice and built it up, and has established a reputation worldwide, even inventing things for this surgery. Who wouldn't go with them?

Staying with Dr K -- I don't know anyone that is staying with MMPC.  I love the Doctors not the name.  I don't know what happend for them to break off but MMPC is sadly mistaken if they think Dr. Gawel and her husband are going to fill those big shoes! :)

I AM STAYING WITH DR. BAKER. HE SAVED MY LIFE AND I THINK HE IS AN EXCELLANT DOCTOR.
