MMPC people - Did you get your letter???!!

I read about it in the paper a while back. I am not surprised. Hopefully this will be the best choice for them. I wonder how it affects their "excellence" status. Hopefully I can continue my follow up appointments with them after my 6 week one.

I got my letter Saturday Morning
i like everybody else will probably call them on monday morning
to try too find out as much as i can

i got my letter yesterday (saturday) and i had to read it about 5 times to REALLLLY understand what i was reading....

I was like WTH???? did they just all bum rush up outta there and leave?

I knowwwwwwwwww theya re gonna get bombarded w/ calls monday... they probably wont tell us ANYTHNG...

so if any of us find out what is the REALLL DEALLLLLLLL let us know...

I guess i didnt even think that i would have to see if my insurance would cover them at their own office.....i guess i kinda just assumed....but i see that you cant really jus do that.....

i have wanted to get out of MMPC anyways...so im glad for them...

Sounds like he made a promise he couldnt keep!!! It is not uncommon for hernias to come back. I will def be doing my future follow up with Foote! I will not see him. I didnt like his wife and I wont continue going there.

My husband has had to have several hernia surgeries and they always put mesh in, if they don't (as we were explained) they generally can return.  So the mesh is there and none of them have come back, so it just makes me wonder why they didn't put mesh in the first time.

When we had our surgeries didn't it include two years of follow up.  I know I haven't paid for any thing since then and they haven't billed my insurance.  So if I leave MMPC do I have to start paying for care or if I choose to stay with MMPC does my two years of care go with the doctor.  Was just wondering as I will not be staying with MMPC one way or the other.  They didn't do the surgery, Dr. Foote did and will continue with him. 

I had heard more than a month ago that the surgeons were breaking away from MMPC.

Unfortunately, it is out of the Doctors' hands as they are bound by a contract with MMP****il 10-31.  Their wish was that the letters would go out much sooner than they did.  You can only imagine that MMPC is up a proverbial creek without a paddle so they were in no hurry to get this info out.

The dieticians and the PA's are following the surgeons to the new place.  (Which is just a little ways down the road from where they are now). 

The Center of Excellence rating goes with the surgeons and not the facility so anyone concerned about that can have those fears calmed.

I am confident that this new program will only be better than what it has been in the past.  The doctors are working dilligently to make this a smooth transition.
