OT - Summer is officially over!!!!!

So depressing in the Poisson household today. The pool has been closed. No more one on one time with my raft.....

I hate when summer ends. Think I'll go shopping....

I hear ya, Carey. Although, we haven't "officially" closed it, I haven't been in it in over a month. We were going to close it yesterday, but it RAINED here, ALL DAY LONG! So, one last run of the vacuum, draining it to it's winter level and some chlorine....all done. Sigh. Until next year my liquid friend....

I'm just glad my gym has two awesome pools I can swim in all winter! Kinda keeps me happy!

You know, I only have the desire to swim when it's hot outside and the sun is out. I love feeling the warmth of the sun.....oh well. I think I need to go back to Maui!!!!

Well, I love the warm water pool at the gym. They keep it at like 92 degrees or something like that. The lap pool is at 72, I think. Too cold for me. LOL! I like to swim during the winter when I start to feel like it's never going to end. But when the sun is shining and it's hot out.....then the pool is the place to be. Good thing I'm a teacher and have my summer just for that!

I have weird phobia of public pools...

and natural bodies of water. The thought of other living things in the water....freak me out!!! I know, I'm weird. Can't help it.

Ok, well, I'm kinda picky and the pool at my gym isn't "public", in the technical sense. It's impeccably clean, tho, so it's ok. Now a true PUBLIC pool, that's different. The last time I was at a public pool (which about 2 years ago....and the first time I'd been to one in about 15 years) a child puked in the pool. I almost did, too. It was gross.

I totally understand about swimming in lakes and what not. I will swim in the lake where I grew up, but only because I've been going to that lake all my life. But that's about the only one. And I will only swim off the boat where it's deep and NO WEEDS touching my feet. Muck is the worst!
