Anyone know what this could be?  It is at the bra line in my back and it hurts when I walk to long or even sit too long in a hard chair.  It goes away if I recline or lay down.  It is almost like a muscle ache, but it hurts.  Any suggestions?  Is this normal?

I'm not sure but my surgery was 8/26 and I don't have back pain where you are saying, however, I did have a lot of pain in my lower left side of my back.  It has started to hurt less now.  I think it had something to do with the way I was laying.  I guess I wasn't moving as much in the beginning.  Actually, once I think about it, I was laying on the couch mostly after surgery.  Now that I have started sleeping in my bed again, I don't really have the pain anymore.  Maybe you can adjust your sleeping situation to help?  Just a thought.  Hope you feel better soon and congrats on your surgery!

It might be trapped air from when they expanded your abdomen during surgery-this was the most painful part of post op recovery for me and took a few weeks to resolve.  Or it could be muscle pain as well, from holding your posture differently as you unconsciously attempt to protect your incisions.  But as always, ask your doc just in case.
