xpost from main - Achieving Goals & Setting New Ones

Before surgery I was instructed by my exercise physiologist (part of the team in my surgeon's office) to set some goals.  I took that to heart and set some goals - some lofty, some easy.  I wanted to be able to get some out of the way quick, some to work towards...

My goals were - to comfortably cross my legs - check; to wear a swimsuit in public, comfortably - check; to ride my bicycle around Mackinac Island (8 miles) - check.

And today, just under 8 months out, I hit the big 100 lb loss...Hooray!

So, now I have to set new goals...of course, getting under 200 is there, as well as losing the next 25, and finding an exercise routine that fits my schedule..

So my question is this - what are your goals?  And are working towards them?  Are they ones that are nebulous and fleeting, or are they attainable goals and you can truly work towards accomplishing them?

Congrats on all your accomplishments!!!

I am two weeks post op.  My goals are to get more physical activity in my daily schedule, get below 200 lb., and have the energy to complete projects around my home.

Hi everyone,
My surgery is scheduled for this Wednesday!!!  Lap-Band.

I have many goals.
I want to be able to get up and down off the floor without all the creeking and cracking, AND on my own!!
In the Spring, be able to ride my bike around the lake with my cousin!
We hope to take out Grandaughter to Disney world in 2years.  I want to be able to keep up with them!!!
But most of all I want to practice a much healthier lifestyle that I have in the past.

Best Wishes to everyone!

Linda
