Hi everyone. My scale took a dump and I'm fed up buying junky ones that never last. Who can recommend a GOOD affordable home scale that will LAST? Thanks all! Andy

I don't know what your price range is, but I have had good luck with Homemedic scales.  I just replaced our last Homemedic scale.  We had it for about 8 years (so PRE wls). I dropped it on a concrete floor and it stopped working.  I bought a new Homemedics scale and am very pleased with it.  I think I paid about $40 for it.  I got it at Linen-N-things, but you can find them at Bed, Bath and Beyond, Wal Mart, Kohls (I think) and other places.  Tina

I haven't had good luck with the Tanita scales, but use the one at my surgeon's office to get my fat %, etc...

My home scale is Weigh****chers.  LOVE IT.  Got it a BB&B, with the 20% off coupon.  Don't recall the cost.  BUT, it works, is consistent, and has lasted for over 2 years -- even when I was pounding it with 370#.

Highest Known Weight  =  370#  /  59.7 bmi  @  5'6"

Current Weight  =  168#  /  26.4 bmi  :  fluctuates 5# either way  @  5'7"  /  more than 90% EWL
Normal BMI (24.9)  =  159#:  would have to compromise my muscle mass to get here without plastics, so this is not a goal.
