Ok so my question is what hospital is preferred Bronson or Borgess. I have the choice on which hospital but I have never needed any procedures at either. So I would like to have input on which one people feel is better to have Gastric Bypass. I have till Febuary to decided but I like to know things early to prepare. Thanks for your time and input!

Well the answer to your question is difficult. Having been a Paramedic since the early 90's in the Kzoo/BC area, I would answer the question like this. If it was trauma or pregnancy then it would be Bronson. If it was Cardiac, it would be Borgess.

Now for WLS. If I am correct, Borgess has been doing WLS longer, where as Bronson just recently started doing WLS. Even saying that, I dont think you would go wrong with either hospital.

Good luck...

Both hospitals are good places to go to and I've heard both positive/negative about each. Borgess is becoming certified to be a "center of excellence" for Bariatric patients. They have all private rooms for Bariatric surgeries and special equipment to help the bariatric patient recover quicker.
Like the above post, it's a tough choice.
I had mine at Borgess and had no complaints. My girlfriend had her bypass there and had good care..
Good luck.
