I have no idea what is going on.  I am doing all I should but I feel queasy all the time.  I keep wishing I'd throw up if I would feel better but I don't.  I am 3 weeks out today and feel great, just a bit sick all the time.

Thanks.  So far, I've posted it in a couple forums and nobody has had this.  Hopefully I will get some news.  Thanks again for responding.

Someone recently told me that if you take a whif of an alcohol pad that it works, try it and let me know.

Hi!  Have you been sick this entire 3 weeks?

I had the same thing for a little over two weeks post op.  I tried everything, and nothing worked.  I felt like I did when I had morning sickness with my kids!  I couldn't  throw up, but felt like I wanted to.

I went back for my 2 week visit and they didn't find anything wrong with me.  Then, a few days after, it just went away.  I woke up, walked into the bathroom and thought....oh my gosh!  I don't feel sick any more!

I hope that happens with you, too, but if it doesn't call your surgeon.

Yes, off and on the entire 3 weeks.  And YES, it is exactly how people describe morning sickness.  (No kids, so not sure).  I am so glad to hear someone else had it.  My Doc said nothings wrong and in fact, he was impressed at just how good I have done.  I hope mine decides to go away..it kind of sucks.

I know it sounds crazy, but I found some recipies for protein shakes online that called for either ginger or peppermint extract.  My mom always used these when I had a "tummy ache" when I was a kid.  It helped a little, but maybe that was just psychological!

You can make a ginger syrup by putting a peeled piece of fresh ginger in a saucepan with 2 parts splenda to one par****er.  Boil gently, about 4 mintues until splenda is dissolved.  Take out the ginger piece.  Let it cool and you can add it to decaf tea or even a vanilla protein shake to make a sort of "boston cooler".  The fresh ginger might settle your new pouch.

I am 2 1/2 weeks out and I feel somewhat nauseated at times too.  I find that if I eat one small cracker it seems to help.
