Good morning Randy and the rest of Michigan

My morning protien coffee has been gone for over a half hour, now its on to my herb tea and then water and or crystal lite.

I am so ready for school to start.  My 5 year old needs warn out.  We do a meet and greet with the teacher this afternoon and off to school on Tuesday.

Other than dropping him and the neighbor kids off in the morning, my day will really not change.  From there it is on to work.  Grandma will be there to meet him at 3:50 when he gets off the bus and then I am home at 5:30ish.   Grandma is going to be the lonely one.  She lives with us and takes care of my little darling during the day.   I think she is ready for a break.

So I work a half day and then it is on to kindergarden for the afternoon.  Doesn't sound like a bad day at all.

Later

Pam

Good Morning,it's going to be a awesome day here in the UP.I'm shareing my 1st cup of coffee with Randy. I have a grandaughter who starts pre school next week, her mom works on the days she has school. She is going to spend the night before school here and I'm the designated driver. My empty nest isn't going to be so empty.Grandma is looking forward to this, it's been a long time. We're going shopping today for new shoes, she is so excited. As for eating, I have been trying to cut down,I have been eating things I know I shouldn't.It's been five years since I had surgery and some food still makes me sick.Yesterday I tried eating an ice cream cone, boy was that a mistake. It took three times but it all came back up.In a way it's a good thing because when I do eat these things it always comes back up.Must be the tool still at work!

Good morning Randster and the rest of y'all.

I'm at work, as usual, drinking water.  Good question about the back to school eating.  I eat WAY more in the summer when the kids are home....ice cream, eating out after baseball games, etc.  I'll be glad to get back to a routine, but today I'm thinking of that cold weather and kind of dreading it.  Doesn't seem that long ago that Randy was telling us he got 10 feet of snow and it was 32 below zero outside.  Ugh!!!

Good Morning!

Had my coffee protein drink.  Going to get my water soon.  You know, I definitely eat more in the summer.  Too much socializing with friends in the pool.  Too many BBQ's in the summer.  I need to get back on track.

Took my girls shopping at the outlet stores in West Branch & Birch Run this past weekend.  We were on our way back from Grayling.  We went canoeing on the AuSable River.  We had a great time.  Still not done with the shopping though.....I'm so glad my older one will be wearing uniforms this year.  She starts high school this year!!!    My baby is growing up!!!  I don't even feel like I'm old enough to have a kid in high school!  It goes by so fast.  My little one is turning 10 and will be in grade 5 - that freaks me out too!

Oh well - back to work.  Have a great day everyone!

Oh girl, I can relate!  My youngest starts HS this year!  Between Hollister and American Eagle I'm going to the poor house!  I sounded just like my mom in the mall the other day saying "Why would you pay $50 for jeans with holes in them??"  I called mom and she said she remembers freaking out because I wanted Jordache jeans for high school and they were like $18 a pair!!!

I don't feel old enough for this either!  Where did the time go?

Oh yeah I know.  I had to tell my 9 year old daughter that I was not paying $60 for a Roxy backpack.  Between my two girls, they are killing me.  They both want a pair of Converse high tops.  I told them I would do that.  It amazes me how all the stuff we were wearing in high school is coming back.  I had a pair of pink high top Converse shoes in high school.  On Sunday when they were trying on jeans, they had to be skinny jeans.  Would not even try them on if they weren't skinny jeans.  I can't even buy clothes for them if they are not with me.  Everything I seem to pick out is ugly.  I guess I must dress like a moron now.

Ohhhh skinny jeans.......we spent an hour in Hot Topic trying to find the skinniest ones we could find.  I was teasing my son, calling him a ballerina because that's what he looked like in those tight pants.

If you ever get around the Dearborn, MI area, go to Fairlane mall.  I find tons of stuff on sale there at PacSun.  Got his backpack (same store that sells the Roxy ones for girls) for $25 over the summer...normally $50.  The American Eagle there has good clearance as well.

Did you guys used to fold and roll your pants in high school?  Oh my gosh, I did!  With the neon big socks and my Converse.......so totally awesome!!!!

We spent forever and a day in Rue 21.  She absolutely loves them.  They look like they are painted on her, from top to bottom.  I had to check and make sure they weren't too tight.  But they are the stretch material.  It's so hard to find her jeans that are long enough.  She has a 36' inseam.  The girl is all legs!  And I hate when she wears short shorts because they look indecent on her with those long legs!!!  LOL!  Even though I buy tall jeans, a lot of them are still not long enough.  And I got 4 pair for $60!!!!  I was so excited.  We went into PacSun at Birch Run and those damn backpacks were so expensive.  I'll have to check out Fairlane.

Oh yes, I remember the neon colors.  Won't be surprised if I start seeing that too.
