Hey all -

I'm walking the 10-mile race tomorrow.  Wondering if there will be any other OH folks there.  (Not that we'd ever find each other in the crowds.)

If so, I'll send off some positive vibes for you as we're both out there sweating our butts off and struggling up the Bradley Hills.

GOOD LUCK GIRL!! I did the Crim last year and actually those Bradley's weren't as bad as anticipated. But today is going to be rough due to the temps & high humidity so stay hydrated and let us know how did.

When you cross that finish line hug yourself and stand proud!! You deserve it and more. GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!

I finished!

The heat and humidity was brutal today.  But this race was definitely an experience!  I couldn't believe how many people were lined up at the start line.  17,000 racers and twice that many spectators!!

Thanks for your support all!

Yes - I'm definitely proud of myself.  It was a great feeling hitting the bricks and crossing that finish line.  I could have gotten a better time (3:05) but at about the 6.5 mile mark I came across a friend from my walking group who was struggling with some cramps and pain ... so I stuck with her so we could finish together.  This was more about finishing than about getting a great time.

Now I have just 6 weeks before The Brooksie Way -- the half -marathon in Rochester on October 5th.  WooHoo!

Wow Pam that is awsome, I can't wait to see what kind of energy I will have after surgery. I think it would be so cool to actually walk 10 miles.
