4 days post-op and everything tastes like rust!

Anyone else have this happen? It's not from old blood, because this nasty taste just started today....protein drink=rust, sugarfree jello=rust, soup=rust....doesn't matter.

It might be the anesthesia that is still in your body.  I hada funny taste in my mouth and smelled a peculiar smell for about the first ten days.

Yep, it's the anesthesthsia.  It takes about 10-14 days for it to leave your system.  So just give it time.  Drink lots of water to help flush those chemicals out of your body.

Well, I'm about ready to take some salt and pepper out to the old Chevy's exhaust pipe (especially if it'll taste like chocolate, kp! LOL). Might get a few strange looks from the neighbors, but what the heck.

It seems my sense of smell is much keener, and a bit twisted, too. Went to a Third Day concert last night and smelled things that have never stimulated my olfactory nerve before, and about made me puke. Feel like I am going through all-day morning sickness (Lord forbid!)

I know....it'll pass.
