Kelly, that is soooo great that you have a date! The time dragged for me at first; I just wanted to get it over with....but then all of a sudden the surgery is the next day, and you just hope you don't oversleep.
You have a good time of year for surgery, also. Not too cold & snowy/icy to get your walking in, and not to hot & muggy. And, you will be eating real food for Thanksgiving & Christmas!!
Girl, you are not going to recognize yourself in 6 months! Those of us on the Dark Side will be making room for our newest loser!

Highest Known Weight = 370# / 59.7 bmi @ 5'6"
Current Weight = 168# / 26.4 bmi : fluctuates 5# either way @ 5'7" / more than 90% EWL
Normal BMI (24.9) = 159#: would have to compromise my muscle mass to get here without plastics, so this is not a goal.

I also told a bunch of people last night that I never would have imagined I would tell. I even told a pretty much complete stranger. They all received it pretty well. so that felt good!!!!

The man I've dated for six years is Guatemalan, so we are traveling the country for a month. It is nothing like I expected, and I am loving it. We just spent the week at this beautiful lake (Atitlan) surrounded by three volcanos, and now we are back in Guatemala City to spend time with family. Next week Mayan ruins & banana plantations.
He left Guatemala when he was 18, and never explored the country, so this is fun experiencing everything for the first time together. And, the family members -- oh my goodness, they are all so welcoming and truly wonderful people to be with.
