I finally got my date!

YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!  I am so excited!  It feels like I have been waiting for this forever.....and I had to share it with those that KNOW what it feels like, or soon will!  My new birthday is 8/29/08!!!!  Now I just have to make it through the next month.........please pray for me that all goes well and all goes smooth.  I am hoping for no complications and having everything fall into place.  Do you think I am asking too much? 

Believe it or not, I am so jazzed up right now, the thought of food makes me want to puke!  hahahaha  This is crazy........

Congrats...I know what a great feeling it is..and scary too! what surgery did ya pick? you may want  to start doing a few things to get you ready....chew chew chew.....chew like you have never chewed (?) before! Pick up some gerber baby bowls with lids and baby spoons! Most of all..don't look at food as if "every meal" is your last..lol. You will be able to eat regular food again but after surgery...you will make better choices...I had a piece of pizza for dinner, but only one piece not the whole pizza. ...dont go eating pizza mind you...LOL...I'm 2.2 years out and down 225 lbs....most of all...the best is yet to come...let me know if I can help you at all...

Congratulations Julie!!  I had my surgery on May 1st with Dr. Krause.  You are in excellent hands.  He was everything that people told me.  I never once felt uneasy, unsure or questioned what I was doing.  There hasn't been one person that has not raved at his work.  You will be just fine!  I stayed in the hospital one night, was back at work on May 12th.  I have currently lost 55 lbs and there hasn't been a day that I have looked back.  I wish you all the best as you prepare for your "new" begining.  Just follow what Dr. Krause tells you and you will do well.

That's great, Julie.  Life on the other side of surgery is wonderful.

I just received my surgery date as well. Next Thursday 8-7-08. I am nervous. I've read all the literature and talked to everyone I am suppose to. I'm with Dr. Boutt in Port Huron.  He seems very knowledgeable.
