Welcome to the board.
If your having Lap procedure, you should have no problems attending games. I was back to work in a week and a half. My surgery was Thursday and was really ready to go back to work. I am an accountant, so I have a desk job, which made it easier.
Best of luck
Pam

We write our own destiny. We become what we do.
Lisa,
I had my surgery (laproscopically, which I assume yours is too) on a Tuesday, and I was back at my desk job the following Monday. I probably could have gone back on Friday, but I had the vacation time, so I didn't go in. (Also I had to have a drain, even after I left the hospital and that made me kind of uncomfortable.)
By the time September rolls around, you should be good to go without a problem. Maybe a little fatigue, but if you have two kids involved in activities and sports, I'm sure your already used to that!

Hi Lisa-
I'm lara nelson - my kids, Matthew and Sara are 14 and 11. They're involved in baseball/softball during the spring and wrestling/basketball during the winter. Matthew is giving football a try this fall. I'm sure we're likely to be on the "field areas" around the same times. Good luck with your surgery and I agree with your later post that we should start an area support group!

Welcome, Lisa.
I had my surgery (lap RNY) on August 11, 2005! Woo hoo! Where are you having surgery done? I wasn't working when I had surgery, but I would say that three weeks from surgery date, I felt completely normal, again, with the exception of what I ate...so...hopefully, you'll be able to make the games in Sept.
Congrats! Tina
Oh, by the way, I live in Chelsea.
